A Premium Design for Taller Spaces: Skyfold Classic™ Premium
For spaces up to 14 feet tall, Skyfold Zenith Premium offers a premium vertically folding solution. But when you’re working with an even taller space, finding an operable wall that checks all the boxes can get a little more complicated. You need a solution that can handle the height, provide the right sound separation and still look like it belongs in the room.
That’s where Skyfold Classic™ Premium comes in.
Made for Bigger Spaces
Designed specifically for taller applications, Classic Premium can accommodate wall heights above 14 feet and up to 34 feet with unlimited width. It’s also an ideal solution for stepped or sloped spaces, giving architects and facility teams more options.
That flexibility makes it a good fit for larger spaces like ballrooms, auditoriums, convention centers and other multipurpose rooms where a standard-height operable wall won’t do the job.
What Makes It “Premium”
The biggest difference between the standard Classic Series and Classic Premium is the built-in ceiling closure panels. Because the wall retracts overhead, it needs a ceiling pocket for storage. Classic Premium’s closure panels conceal that pocket when the wall is retracted, creating a cleaner, more finished ceiling. When the wall is in use, it’s designed to look more like a permanent architectural element rather than a temporary divider.
Classic Premium also comes standard with touchscreen controls. For spaces that get reconfigured often, touchscreen controls make day-to-day operation simple without adding another manual step. Touchscreens can be added to standard Classic, Zenith and Mirage Systems, but they’re included with the Premium products and Prisma.
Premium Means Optimal Performance
Even the tallest operable walls still need to perform once in place. Classic Premium offers sound isolation up to STC 60, helping keep sound under control when you divide one large room into separate spaces.
The system is fully automatic and includes a safety obstruction sensor. Its panels are designed to be lightweight, flat and rigid, and a variety of finish options are available to help the wall work with the rest of the space instead of standing apart from it.
A Premium Option for Taller Applications
Classic Premium gives taller spaces the flexibility of a vertically folding operable wall while adding the finished details that can make a huge difference in the overall design. If your project calls for an operable wall above 14 feet, the Modernfold Chicago team can help you work through the height, acoustics, layout and design requirements to determine whether Classic Premium is the right fit.
