Welcome to the Skyfold Classic training video brought to you by Modernfold Chicago.

What is Skyfold? Skyfold is a custom-manufactured, fully automatic, rigid, flat, retractable, acoustic partitioning system designed to revolutionize the way you design and work with your space. The Skyfold Classic system is stored in the ceiling, no floor or wall tracks are required, and there are no side storage pockets, allowing for more efficient use of space. Silent and completely automatic, you can reconfigure your space in minutes with a simple turnkey operation. No manual labor is necessary. What used to take hours is now achieved in minutes.

Let’s locate the vertically folding Skyfold operable partitions. There is one at the dance studio and a second at the community room. Both of these systems have the same operating instructions. Safety first. Check out the space and ensure there are no obstructions in the way before operating the Skyfold system. Picture an imaginary line the width of the Skyfold ceiling pocket from floor to ceiling. This area should be clear of obstructions along the length of the opening. Look for furniture, garbage cans, people, etc. When the space is free of obstructions, turn the key to the desired direction up or down. Then both people press and hold the buttons simultaneously until the wall automatically stops at the floor or ceiling pocket. If starting from the down position, there will be a short pause before the wall starts to ascend after the buttons are pressed and held. This time allows the end seals to retract before the wall raises.
